Tall Ship Amerigo Vespucci

I admit it. Rather – I scream it – I freaking ADORE tall ships. They are majestic, graceful, beautiful and a reminder of days gone by when the masted ships were the vehicles on the seas. This summer, Boston has been graced by visits of tall ships from many countries and the latest one to visit was the Italian beauty, Amerigo Vespucci. She was built in 1931 along with her twin Christopher Columbus.  Tragically the Christopher Columbus was burned and sank in the Black Sea.

Watching her sail through the harbor among all the other ships and boats was like observing a rose in the midst of weeds.
