Photographers tend to be solitary beasts. They roam around with their cameras, in their bubble, looking for the moment to freeze. I went on a KelbyOne photo walk this past weekend. Although it was a group of 30+ photographers navigating through the streets of Boston, each of us was encased in our personal sphere as we walked about, not unlike pods of soap bubbles. What was interesting was that there was a clear rapport amongst us, even though we had never met before. We kept pace with the slower photographers so they didn’t get lost, especially as many of them were not familiar with the area. 7 miles and hundreds of photographs later we ended the fantastic day of photography. It’s really nice to spend a day with your peeps doing what you love best.
